Overview
Ningbo-Zhoushan Port is one of the world’s busiest and largest deep-water ports by cargo throughout, serving as a critical gateway for international trade and one of China’s primary maritime logistics hubs. Located on the East China Sea in Zhejiang Province, the port combines the former Ningbo Port and Zhoushan Port into a highly integrated port complex handling containers, dry bulk, liquid bulk, LNG, Ro-Ro, breakbulk, heavy lift, and project cargo.
Its naturally deep-water channels allow the accommodation of Ultra Large Container Vessels (ULCVs), VLCCs, Capesize bulk carriers, and other large ocean-going vessels. The port maintains direct shipping connections with more than 600 ports worldwide and plays a strategic role in China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
